SEADAMP GUIDELINES

HOW TO INSTALL YOUR SEADAMP

Install your Seadamp product by performing the necessary actions with care and attention to avoid any possible dangerous situation both for your health and for the integrity of your boat.

INSTRUCTION

Install your Seadamp model following the limits shown in the table alongside.

  • Use the right Seadamp model according with the displacement of your boat.
  • Install the Seadamp between chains or ropes.
  • Use only 316 stainless steel shackles.

MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES

Seadamp products do not require maintenance by the user within the guaranteed period of 3 years, apart from checking the cleanliness of the rod (to avoid damage to the sealing gaskets that prevent oil leaks) and the absence of accidental damages.

It is advisable to keep the entire mooring line in perfect efficiency and maintenance to allow your Seadamp to work at its maximum functionality. In particular, it is recommended to perform:

Every six months

Complete external cleaning:

  • The metal parts can be cleaned with fresh water and non-aggressive soap
  • Do not use neither aggressive powder products nor abrasive substances or materials
  • The use of aggressive chemical products is forbidden
Every year
  • Check the external surface of the connection ends and of the body to verify the absence of permanent deformations, cracks or areas of corrosion or oxidation (extensive or localized)
  • Verify internal damages: it can be carried out by checking only from the outside that the piston stroke starts a few millimeters from the top cover (i.e. from the original position at the time of purchase) and trying to pull the rod by hand, checking that it does not move freely (even for just a few millimeters of stroke)
  • The absence of loosening of the closing screws
At 3rd year
  • Repeat the recommended annual checks
  • Have all internal components serviced by authorized Seares technical support (paid technical support lasting approximately 2 working weeks from the date of shipment)
Exceptional events
  • In case of intense meteoric events carry out promptly checks for the absence of damages indicated above
In case of damages
  • If you find any anomalies or damages, promptly contact Seares technical support
