The first bet won before the EPO therefore gives us the impetus to insert an addition to the patent: Seadamp now in the Plus version can not only dampen the oscillations, but at the same time recover energy. After a few months, the second international research exam, this time in front of WIPO, confirmed the first EPO research report and gave us an even more unexpected answer: this second bet was also won!
As for the first report, we quote a part of the comment of the international examination committee: ”The solution is new and inventive as it is neither anticipated nor obviously combinable from the theachings of those documents knowm from the prior art. An expert in the field of dampers would certainly be aware of all per se known components of the suggested device – a cylinder/piston-damper; a rotatory generator and a rack and pinion mechanism – but would not be able to produce the surprising inventive effect leading to the solution of the above problem just by deliberately combining these elements”
“An expert in the field of shock absorbers would certainly be aware of all the components of the suggested solution – a cylinder / piston shock absorber; a rotating generator and a rack-and-pinion mechanism – but it would not have been able to create the surprisingly innovative effect that leads to the solution of the proposed problem simply by deliberately combining the aforementioned elements ”. Another confirmation, another fundamental step forward. A double intuition that has led us to a patent with a double value: Seares thinks about the environment and the growing demand for energy, a problem that will become even more concrete in the near future!
